Description
Depressed head and elongated body has trunk more or less equal to tail. Snout is wide and short. Eyes moderate with nictitating membrane. Nasoral grooves and cirri are absent. Labial folds present on both jaws. Spiracles are small and located behind eyes. Five pairs of gill opening are present. 2 spineless dorsal and anal fin are present. Teeth are large, flat, triangular, notched, oblique and serrated on both edges.
