Description
Size: Head 30-31 percent of standard length; spine 16-19 percent of standard length

Color:Large black spots visible on dorsal fin. Body dorsally is with rows of spots.

Second anal spine is very strong. Second dorsal fin has 28 to 29 fin rays. Gas bladder is provided with two pairs of minute tubules at the anterior end. Mental pores are five in numbers. Sagitta is broad and thick with well-curved tail. Teeth are well differentiated in both jaws.
