Color: Reddish brown marked with white spots and blotches.

Shell large, thick, broad, circular in outline and convex; valves equilateral, rounded, and about as high as long; auricles unequal; ribs numerous, less separated from each other; surfaces of the ribs bear faint transverse curved striations; interstices shallow.
