Description
Size: Length 185 µ; Breadth 54 µ.

Cells oblong to spherical, united to form short chains ; 6 to 8 spines present arising from top of cell and connecting adjacent cell forming a chain, with no line of fusion; valves with hexagonal or pentagonal areolae; chromatophores numerous, small rounded bodies.
