Description
It is a monoecious plant. The spermatangia are borne in sori that are scattered superficially on the thallus surface. The spermatangial filaments are interspersed by utricles. Spermatangia are borne at the tips of 3 or 4 celled spermatangial filaments that project beyond the epidermal cells. The released spermatium is round and bound by a distinct polysaccharidic, spermatial coat.
