Color: Yellow brown

Thalli membranaceous, about 6-8 cm in height, 2-3 mm broad, with dichotomous branches and conspicuous teeth along both margins, often growing up into proliferations. The apices of the branches rounded, bases of the thalli prostrate, rhizoids emitted from the lower surfaces. Epidermal cells small, square, thin walled pigmented cells enveloping a middle layer of large rectangular, thick walled, colorless, longitudinally elongated medullary cells. Attachment by basal part of the frond, branch apices emarginate or bifid. Tetrasporangia globular, in sori on upper side of the thalli, oogonia obovate, in sori scattered all over upper sides of the thalli.
