Color: Medium to dark brown on drying

Plant 1-3 dm tall, often iridescent when growing, deeply and repeatedly alternately, subdichotomously or palmately lobed or branched, the irregular divisions 0.5-2.5 cm broad, 0.5-7.0 cm long between the forks, sometimes narrowed to stalk-like bases, the margins undulate or irregularly dentate, the teeth in part acute; often marginally proliferous.
