Color: Dark green

Thalli cylindrical, profusely and dichotomously branched, glassy, fine rugose on the surface or at times densely tomentose with long hyaline hairs, about 10-30 cm in height, one to several fronds arising from a broad spongy disk. Utricles 900-1025 µm long, 215-350 µm diameter, cylindric clevate, with more or less distinct mucro. Vesicle with mucronate tip.
