Description
Length: 51-60 cm.

Color: Brown with slightly forked tail. Immature paler below with distinct streaks. Bare parts: iris brown; bill yellow in adult of Afrotropical race, black in immature, black in palearctic race; cere yellow; feet and legs yellow.
