8-celled coenobium

Colony of four to eight cells in single or double series; cells narrowly fusiform, somewhat sickle-shaped, end cells strongly sickle-shaped or lunate, tapering into sharp acuminate teeth, 14-24 μm in length without the teeth and 2-4 μm in width.
