Description
Size: 4-8 cm long

Color: Dark green

Thallus form and type: Ramiform and creeping

Substratum: Intertidal rocks

Occurrence: Lower mid littoral zone, common in tide pools

Season: November-April

Rhizome branched, creeping. Assimilators feather-like, erect, lanceolate arising from rhizome at intervals of 1-1.6 mm, 4-8 cm long, 4-8 mm wide, pinnate, base of axis devoid of pinnules upto a length of 1-4 mm, diameter of axis 1-1.5 mm, pinnules distichous, opposite, 0.25-6 mm long, 0.8 mm wide, incurved, tip mucronate.
