Description
Size: Plants upto 4-5 cm high

Thallus form and type: Filamentous and fan type

Substratum: Intertidal rocks, coralline stones

Occurrence: Lower mid littoral zone and infra littoral fringe

Season: Cecember-April

Primary axis with long basal cell, narrowing to base, attached by branched rhizoids; branches in opposite pairs, curved upwards, branches interconnected by tenacula, net like appearance, stipe cell 200-400 μm broad, 7 mm long, cells in primary axis 310-527 μm long, 155-217 μm broad, cells in secondary branches 124-280 μm long, 124-155 μm broad, ultimate cells 186-290 μm long, 124-155 μm broad.
