Head and second anal spine length are 28 to 33 per cent and 8 to 12 per cent of standard length. Soft dorsal bears 25 to 30 fin rays. Gas bladder is "Johnius type" with lateral expansion and 13 to 14 arborescent tubules. Sagitta is "johinius type". Lower jaw is provide with 5 mental pores. Inner row of lower-jaw teeth is enlarged and the outer row is villiform. Snout slightly projects beyond upper jaw.Dorsal fin are black. Opercle is with a steel blue.
