Description
Size: Trichomes 4-65 µm in diameter; the cells 2-10 µm long.

Usually shorter than the diameter or more or less isodiametric, sometimes a little longer, the terminal cell with rounded end and a thin end wall. Trichomes not attenuate at the tips, with or without constrictions at the nodes. Extracellular polysaccharide thin and invisible, or obvious and soft-diffluent, or forming a distinct sheath containing one to many trichomes; the sheath sometimes branched.
