Description
Size: Height 15-20 cm.

Color: Dark brown

Basal portion forming a small disc, upper portion more or less regularly branched dichotomously. Branches flat, somewhat twisted, membranaceous, 7-12 mm, broad, angles between the branches acute or rounded, apices acute or subacute. Margins of the branches subentire or regularly dentate, possessing small ascending projections.

Reproductive bodies dispersed on the surface of the thalli. Tetrasporangia forming scattered groups. Oogonia occurring in roundish groups, antheridial sori oblong or oval.
