Description
Color: Glaucous green or blue green

Thalli forming a tabular plane colony, intermixed with other algae. Cells oval, spherical or hemispherical, regularly, closely arranged, 2.5-4 µm in diameter, 5-6 µm in length. Multiplication by division in two directions perpendicular to the plane of the colony.
