Size: 6.65 - 20.15 mm in height; maximum diameter 8.15- 21.10 mm; minimum diameter 6.85 - 17.25 mm

Shell has three promnently beaded spiral ridges or lamellae on the body whorl; spire appears suppressed in younger shells and in the adults it is less elevated; umbilicus is clearly open in earlier stages, it is closed in adults.
