Description
Color: Dark brown.

Plant forming low, dense, tufts about 0.5 cm high on the old stems of other algae. Basal system rhizoidal, forming entangled mass. Erect system irregularly branched. Braches ending in hair-like form. Plants bearing only plurilocular sporangia or gametangia, which were sessile, cylindrical or slightly clavate, often thickest in the middle.
