In the 2nd and 4th legs, innumerable minute spinules appear to be in the main restricted to the 2nd basal segment and the segments of the exopod, but in the 3rd leg they are also present on the segments of the endopod.
5th leg consisted of two segments, the terminal one having a long inner spine, a somewhat shorter terminal spine and a quite short external spine that arises near the face of the terminal spine and distal to the line of origin of the inner spine.
