Description
Size: 23-105 cm disc width

Weight: 20kg

Disc oval and flat; snout narrowly triangular; a large rounded tubercle in the
middle of back and three smaller one before and three more behind; tail more than 3 times longer than the disc, and is without cutaneous fold. Dioecious, internal (oviduct) fertilization, internal live bearers. Exhibit ovoviparity (aplacental viviparity), with embryos feeding initially on yolk, then receiving additional nourishment from the mother by indirect absorption of uterine fluid enriched with mucus, fat or protein through specialised structures. Distinct pairing with embrace.
