Description
Size: Length 10-25 mm.

Color: Variable; anterior part more or less brown with transverse streaks.

Body long and slender. Pharynx rather short, with the conical tooth on the anterior third. Proventriculus short. Dorsal cirri alternately long and short, with numerous articles (20-25 and 30-40). Falcate setae, especially median and posterior ones, short and conspicuously bidentate. On the last setigerous segments a dorsal and a ventral, simple bidentate, acicular setae.
