Description
Size: Carino-rostral diameter 10-13 mm; height 2.5-3 mm

Color: Grayish white

Depressed cone with more or less diamond-shaped orifice. Surface with 20-30 longitudinal, radiating ribs with transverse growth ridges lined with chitinous hairs; radii wide and well developed, upper margin parallel to base. Basis of the shell entirely membranous, scutum elongated; articular furrow shallow; adductor ridge not prominent. Crests for lateral depressor muscles faint; externally with distinct growth ridges. Tergum smaller than scutum; spur short, broad and round; articular ridge faint; articular furrow wide; crests for carinal depressor muscles prominent; externally with faint growth lines.
Mouth Parts: Labrum with median depression and bears no teeth on the crests. Palpus club shaped with left and right almost touching each other with long setae only on the upper margin. Mandible with four teeth, second and third teeth bifid; below the fourth tooth, the truncated angle with small teeth; between the fourth teeth and the two teeth at the truncated angle 7-9 fine teeth of various lengths. Inner maxilla with notch below the upper strong spines; cutting edge below notch with 7-9 spines; lower angle margin with several fine stout spines.
Cirri: Rami of cirrus I unequal, anterior ramus longer than the posterior ramus. Rami of cirrus II and III all subequal, about as long as anterior ramus of cirrus I. First rami of anterior cirri densely setose. Except for anterior ramus of cirrus I, distal 1st and 2nd segments of rami of cirri I to ill bear several pectinate setae. Basal segment of pedicel of cirrus III particularly wide and oval. Cirri IV-VI have subequal rami; segments with three pairs of setae on anterior edge and tufts of smaller setae at and between bases of the pairs.
