Color: The body color is brown and it is often covered with a fine coat of sand

Six to eight teat-like structures are present on each side of the body. These are clearly seen only in live specimens in water. It occurs in slightly deeper waters and is common on coral slabs near reef passages or at the foot of
reef slopes.

This is a high value species for processing.
