Size (Zooecium): Length 500-1400 µ; breadth 180-230 µ.

Colonies pale brown but show a range from almost translucency to deep earthly brown. Colonies spread out from a central point. Each zooecium typically composed of a proximal adnate tubular portion, a median broad adnate part and an erect cylindrical distal region. Proximal, adnate tubular portion of the zooecium vary in color, in length and in thickness. Orifice squarish but in resting zooids as well as in zooecia without polypides orifice rounded. Tentacles eight in number. Pleated collar well developed provided with thin chitinous rods.
