Size: 12 cm

Sexes alike. Adult: Pale brownish-grey throat and breast, merges with drab white of underparts. Juvenile: Has rufous fringes to upperparts and throat.

Voice: High pitched twitter.

Habits: Generally feeds over water, crepuscular; perches in rows on telegraph/ phone wires, roots communally in reedbeds.
