Size: 18.7 cm TL (male)

Color: Grayish violet. First dorsal with small black spots. Second dorsal lighter with two longitudinal rows of oblong white spots. Pelvic and anal yellowish. Caudal brownish.

Body elongated, head subcylindrical, snout longer than eye. Mouth slightly oblique, gill opening a narrow slit. Teeth in both jaws, uniserial, a curved canine on each side of symphysis. Pectoral fin pointed. Ventral fin united, caudal fin pointed. Amphibious air-breather.
