Description
Color: Pale yellowish brown or straw-colored, variously clouded, mottled and rayed with purplish grey markings.

Shell thick, solid and inflated with a smooth and glossy surface; pallial line deeply sinuate; shell longer than high with an evenly rounded margin; hinge bears three strong cardinal teeth; lunule distinct, flattened and broad. The area behind the umbones is well defined, flattened and greatly elongated; inner surface is smooth, white and polished, and devoid of any traces of denticulation.
