Class: Bivalvia

Color: Whitish or very pale yellowish and rayed with three or four broad, radial bands, each consisting of a series of brownish patches.

The concentric laminae are thin, erect and closely folded on their lower surfaces, the concavity of these folds facing away from the umbo; the inter spaces between these laminae are wide, flattened and traversed by close-set, narrow radial ridges; pallial sinus is deep and angular at the apex.
