Color: Shell is pale brownish.

Shell thick, slightly ovate, broadly rounded and evenly circular; anterior margin slightly shorter than the posterior, broadly curved and merges evenly into the rounded ventral margin, while posterior margin straight. The hinge margin extensive and broadly curved; hinge teeth are numerous, close-set, linear and parallel. Ligament is short and triangular; umbones are small and placed just above the ligament; shell sculpture of fine radial ridges crossed by concentric striae.
