Description
Size (Zooecium): Length 530 µ; breadth 325 µ.

Encrusting, zooecia deep and quincuncial or sometimes quadrangular. Frontal membrane covers the entire surface. Gymnocyst absent. Operculum large and broad occupying nearly three-fourth of the distal margin. The rim of the operculum heavily chitinized. Three types of spines are discernible on the zooecium such as those over the operculum, those occupying the rim of the frontal membrane and two large spines on the proximo-lateral corners of the operculum. Spines on the rim of the frontal membrane long and delicate and arise from a chitinous line. Those on the operculum arranged in two rows, a proximal row of 3 spines and a distal row of 4, which are comparatively longer and stronger. A circle of spines present around the operculum, arising from a chitinous base. The third type of spines long and slender movably placed in sockets on the lateral corners of the operculum. A well developed cryptocyst present in old zooecium.
