Size: 39 cm

A greenish ashy grey non-parasitic cuckoo with rufous suffused underparts. Bright green bill, naked blue patch round eye; long, broad, graduated, conspicuously white-tipped tail. sexes alike.

Voice: Usually silent. A low croak, kraa, sometimes heard.

Nesting: Season- chiefly March to May, but also other months.
