Description
Size: 18 cm

Color: Brilliant turquoise-blue and orange kingfisher; blue green above, deep rust below; white neck patch; rust-red ear-coverts. Sexes alike.

Voice: Piping chee, chichee.

Habits: Perches around 1-2m high at a vintage point, plunges headlong into the water to catch prey.
