Size: Length 17.60 - 80.50 mm, maximum diameter 12.95 - 48.35 mm, minimum diameter 9.35 - 42.60 mm

Color: White or cream stained with reddish-brown

Shell is oblong-ovate, dorsoventrally depressed, coarsely granular, spire turreted; varices generally continuous on two sides of the whorls and developed into small spinose projections at regular interval; sculptured with transversely elevated closest granular ridges and nodes; body whorl with two rows of prickly nodes on elevated ridges; ridges at the lower part finely granular and undulated; siphonal canal is short; columella not so polished; portion above siphonal canal traversed by spiral granular ridges of the body whorl; aperture oblong-ovate, white; outer lip denticulate and grooved.
