Description
Size: 41-45 cm.

Color: Brown

Habits: Mainly feeds by diving after the prey underwater, occasionally by surface capturing.

Sexes alike. A large, sooty brown shearwater with pale fleshy pink dill with dark tip, fleshy pink legs and feet, commonly a silvery grey patch at the base of primaries, dark underwing, shorter and rounded tail.

Breeding season: September or October
