In the first three pairs of legs, the meropodites, carpopodites, and propodites are scabrous and serrated. The anterior male abdominal appendages bear two lobes at the tip the inner one straight and slender, the outer bent outwards. Both bear hairs, each hair being striped with alternate brown and white bands. There are three types of hairs on the second maxillipeds. The 'spoon' is very long and narrow and consists of irregular lobes. The last lobe is bent at right angles when seen in a side view.
