Description
Size: Length 19.40-25.55 mm; diameter 18.03-25.30 mm; length of aperture 17.42-22.30 mm.

Color: Shell generally grayish, aperture white bearing either continuous or broken orange yellow ring, in some cases very faint and completely absent in other cases. Spines sometimes dark brown on its tips.

Shell small to medium size, sub-ovate; spire acute, low. Body whorl large consists of 5 rows of spinose tubercles, spines at outer lip margin more lengthy formed into processes. Interstices between the tubercles are sculptured with 2-3 rows of scabrous striations. Aperture long, narrow, constricted, inner outer lip side with 2 sets of compound teeth arranged in 4 and 2, followed by one each towards anterior. Columella with single fold, bear 3-4 oblique plicae like ridges, callous bearing black dots towards posterior region. Anal sulcus long and deep. Siphonal canal short, deep, open, recurved obliquely.
