Description
Size: Length 25.5 - 40.8 µm; Width 13.6 - 30.6 µm.

Dorso-ventrally flattened ovoid body with a conspicuous cone-shaped prolongation of the posterior body pole. Macronucleus is ovoid or oblong and measures 8.5 - 15.3 µm *5.1 - 10.2 µm. The compact spherical micronucleus measuring 1.7 - 3.4 µm in diameter is situated just in front of the macronucleus. Contractile vacuole considerably large, situated posteriorly near the cytostome. The length of the peristome varies from 18.7 - 23.8 µm which starts beyond one third of the body length from the anterior end. There are 21 - 25 kineties in addition to the two adorals, 9 - 11 on the right and 12 - 14 on the left side. The length of cilia are regionally different. Anterior thigmotactic cilia are 7.65 µm in average, somatic cilia are 2.7 - 3.4 µm and the adoral cilia are 5.1 - 10.5 µm in length antero-posteriorly.
