Propodus ventrally smooth, penultimate segment of male abdomen gently convergent. Anterolateral teeth well acuminate.

Carapace two-thirds as long as broad, pilose, considerably convex, the transverse ridges distinct. Front proper forming a broad shallow arch grooved but not deeply divided in the middle line. Antero-lateral borders cut into five teeth and acute. The last tooth is more spiniform and more prominent than the others. The posterior border of the dorsum of the carapace is straight but forms a curve with the posterior borders, its length is slightly more than a third the greatest breadth of the carapace. The posterior border of the propodite of the last pair of legs are armed with 2 or 3 small spinules. Chelipeds about 2 ΒΌ times the length of the carapace. The teeth on the anterior border of the arm are acute.

This species close resemblance with Thalamita chaptali and is sharply distinguished by the presence of several spinules on the hinder edge of the propodite of the last leg.
