Solitary ascidians, oblong or elliptical, colored with clear pale yellow sand and shell fragments except around siphons. Size of the largest specimen, 3.8 cm * 2.1 cm * 1.6 cm. Siphons prominent, atrial rather longer, and connected by a ridge of test. Mantle is transparent except for muscle bundles and spicules. Mantle has four lines of whitish pigment down the inside of each siphon. Branchial sac contains seven folds on each side, ventralmost one on the left side being very small. Dorsal tubercle is large, simple, horse-shoe shaped. Dorsal lamina is represented by moderate-sized triangular languets. Tentacles are branched, ten large with small ones alternating. Alimentary canal is a long, open loop on left side of the body. Gonads found on both sides.
