Description
Carapace elongate with a small epibranchial tubercle. Gastric region without tubercles. An erect claw like intestinal spine present.

Carapace elongate-ovate. There is an erect claw-like spine on the posterior border of the carapace in the middle line. The spines of the rostrum are straight, divergent, and about half the length of the carapace. The dactyli are long and slender.

This species looks like Hyastenus planasius and differ from the above said characters.
