Description
Succulent, perennial creeper, stems creeping, much-branched, greenish or red, rooting from nodes. Leaves simple, opposite, sessile, linear, spathulate entire, glabrous, thick, fleshy, oblong to lanceolate, apex rounded. Flower bisexual, purple, solitary, axillary or clustered. Fruits dry scarious. Seeds numerous, black, pea-shaped, reuniform and smooth with long funicles. Capsule many seeded.

Flowering and fruiting: October- April (West Bengal), August-December (Andhra Pradesh).
