Much branched shrub, growing up to 3 m tall along. Leaves variable, linear oblong, ellipsoid or obovate, obtuse at apex, narrowed at base. Flower hermaphrodite, axillary in position, 1-3 nate. Bracteole with toothed margins. Seed ovoid, black, compressed.

Flowering and fruiting: August-September (Andhra Pradesh).
