Description
Greyish stem, leaves elliptical, acuminate apex. Flower umbellate, compact up to 12 flowered, ovary hairy only in upper half, style indistinct. Fruit apiculate.

This variety differs from other varieties of Avicennia marina by its compact inflorescence with 2 to 12 flowers, elliptic oblong leaf blades with an acute or acuminate apex, and the ovary hairy only in the upper half.
