Description
Size: Length 10-20 mm. by 6-10

Color: Pale fawn with deep blue border (in life).

Body oval, much flattened, fully covered by 13 pairs of elytra. Prostomiun bilobed with two tentacles and four eyes. Notosetae very fine, numerous. Neurosetae stout with smooth, curved apical portion. Dorsal setae extremely fine, in dense clusters. Ventral setae stout, with a smooth curved tip. A facial tubercles. 13 pairs of elytra, uniform, deeply notched, their surface divided up into polygonal areas and these again into numerous secondary areoles. The posterior margins bears large spinous tubercles.
