Description
Erect or sprawling shrubs with numerous branchlets, forming a dense crown. Leaves decussate, elliptic-oblong, acute at base, thin-fleshy, densely and finely appressed-canescent on both sides. Flowers axillary, actinomorphic, 6-merous, heterostylous; calyx bibracteolate, campanulate-tubular; lobes broadly triangular; petals elliptic-oblong, white; stamens 12, alternately longer and shorter, longer ones oppositisepalous; anthers dorsifixed; ovary globose, 1-celled; style filiform; stigma broad. Capsules obovoid or ellipsoid, operculate.

Flowering season: August-December; Fruiting season: December-April

Seeds numerous, cuneate, alate.
