Description
Climbing shrubs. Leaves decussate, ovate, broad-elliptic, elliptic to elliptic-lanceolate, obovate, acute at apex, base cuneate. Bracts triangular. Flowers in fascicles on axillary bracteate tubercles; calyx deeply 5-lobed, lobes triangular, semi-orbicular, obtuse or rounded; petals broad-elliptic, ovate, obovate, obtuse, yellowish or yellowish green; disc annular pulvinate; stamens 3; anthers obtuse, transversely dehiscent; pistil triangular; ovary 3-celled; ovules 2 in each cell, attached at the top of the axis. Fruits globose, 1-seeded. Seeds globose.

Flowering season: January-March; Fruiting season: March-May
