Description
Perennial climbers, 2-10 m long; stems, woody, smooth, glabrous, turning yellow when dry. Leaves bifarious, ovate-lanceolate or linear, ending in a fine slender spiral tendril, base rounded or slightly cordate, abruptly contracted into a dorsally flattened petiole. Panicle erect, mostly forked. Flowers solitary, subtended by a short, broad bract; tepals oval, white. Drupes subglobose. Fruits are small, green berry-like, pinkish red when ripes.
