Trees, 3-12 m tall,40-50 cm in diameter, with spreading crown or bush. Leaves with 2 pairs of leaflets; leaflets chartaceous to subcoriaceous, obliquely obovate-oblong to oblong, obtuse or very obscurely shortly broadly acuminate, base contracted into the very petiole. Inflorescences axillary pseudo-racemes, few flowered; flowers forming a globose cone; calyx segments 4-5, curved distally when reflexed at anthesis; stamens 10; ovary wall glabrous inside. Pods ellipsoid, deeply rugose, with a lateral beak like stubby nose, 1-seeded.
