Colonies are explanate, thick; calices neatly rounded, close together, intercorallite wall very thin. Calices neatly rounded, close together, intercorallite wall 0.1 to 0.2 mm, adjacent ones almost used. Septa 12 in number subequal in thickness, horizontally extending, hair-like. The inter-septal spaces are oval in outline and the calyx, spear like a wheel when observed from above. The colonies are light and fragile.

Though Veron and Pichon (1982) reported this species as nominal, Veron (2000)did not include this species in the world species list.
