Size: 40-150mm

Colour: Blackish brown shade on ventral side; anal region white with five groups of papillae.

Tentacles 20, arranged in two circles, outer having 15, larger and inner 5 smaller. Anus with 5 groups of anal papillae. Spicules having tables with low spire terminating in ring of short spines; disc of the tables round with wavy margin with eight holes at the margin. Spire low with few blunt spines at the apex. The podia are well developed and distributed all over the body. Calcerous ring with posterior prolongations; radials more or less rectangular; interadials roughly triangular in shape.
